Audi smartphone interface
This standard feature enables Apple CarPlay® and Google Android Auto™ interface, allowing you access to your compatible smartphone’s features. Services such as navigation, telephone, music and select third-party apps can be incorporated and controlled through the MMI® touch controller, voice control system or steering wheel controls.
Audi pre sense® basic and Audi pre sense® front
Audi pre sense® basic is standard on the S3, and can assist during emergencies to begin closing the side windows and sunroof and tightening the front safety belts. Additionally, standard Audi pre sense® front helps prepare for a front end collision. The driver first receives a visual and acoustic warning. Then, the hydraulic brake assist system actively decelerates the vehicle and pre-charges in preparation for an emergency stop.
Audi side assist with Rear cross traffic assist
Standard Audi side assist with Rear cross traffic assist can alert the driver of potential obstacles around the vehicle. Audi side assist uses LED lighting integrated into the exterior side mirror housings to alert the driver when a vehicle is in your blind spot, while Rear cross traffic assist uses rear sensors to help scan the area behind the vehicle and its sides.
Audi active lane assist
Standard on Prestige models, Audi active lane assist helps the driver stay in their lane. At speeds above 40 mph, the system helps detect when the vehicle begins to leave the lane without signaling. Then, the system can provide gentle, corrective steering and steering wheel vibrations as an additional warning of lane departure.
Audi adaptive cruise control with stop & go
The Audi S3 offers available Audi adaptive cruise control with stop & go which utilizes braking and acceleration to help maintain a set distance from the vehicle in front.
Standard on the S3, Parking system uses front and rear acoustic sensors and a rear view camera to help detect when you are close to another object. The system automatically engages in both “Reverse” and “Drive” within approximately 3 feet of approaching an object, under 6 mph. The driver’s path is virtually shown on the MMI® display to provide an overview of the parking situation in the front and rear of the vehicle. This virtual overview helps increase driver comfort when parking or leaving — especially in tight spaces.
